I love that definition of event, "a thing that happens, especially one of importance." Anything can be an event, and if it's important to you then it's important to me. Whether it's a dinner party, shower, birthday, ribbon cutting, wedding (you get the idea), events can be seriously stressful. Between coordinating the logistics, communications, guests and supplies, it can feel like the details are never-ending. I joke that I must be a glutton for punishment, but I've always loved events. I love managing the chaos of it all, and when the big (or little) day finally arrives there is nothing as satisfying as stepping back and watching all of my hard work come together and run like a well-oiled machine.

I've been planning events professionally for more than 10 years, and for fun much longer.
